Jacques Rupnik
 
History at the Sorbonne and Politics at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris, M.A in Soviet Studies from Harvard University (1974), and Ph. D (History of International Relations) from the Sorbonne (University Paris I). Research Associate at the Russian Research Center at Harvard University 1974-1975, specialist in Eastern Europe at the BBC World Service 1977-1982 and Professor at the Institut dÕEtudes Politiques de Paris 1982-1996. Executive Director of the International Commission for the Balkans at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace 1995-1996. Member of Independent International Commission on Kosovo, 1999-2000. Since 1999, visiting Professor at the College of Europe in Bruges and one of the editors of the quaterly Transeuropéennes. 1990-1992 advisor to Czech President Vaclav Havel.
